We work with both intact leadership teams and cohort-based development programs to provoke action, care, leadership, and forward motion. Our custom design and delivery philosophy is focused on five principles: effective programs must be experiential, learner-centered, and developmental, while emphasizing empathy for all and a focus on team and organizational results. Deep knowledge of content - systems thinking, sustaining change, creativity, innovation, adult development, thriving in complexity - forms a foundation, but excellence here comes from authenticity, learner-centricity, and adaptive delivery.
We know that groups do not become teams on their own - they need support, structure, and grounding to discover their purpose and way of being. For intact groups and teams, we offer Team Formation + Function services, in conjunction with our Coaching offerings. We have worked with teams of every type, from start-up founders to tenured ExCo’s and their successors, fighter squadrons, and NASA mission crews.

Coaching

We define development as the process of seeing oneself and the world differently - usually as a result of meaning-making around a set of experiences. A trusted, confidential partner from outside the system can be an invaluable resource in provoking, sustaining, or supporting this development. With this mix of support and provocation, individuals and teams can do what needs to be done to create value, change, and a sustainable path for themselves and their business.
We offer individual and team coaching via virtual, audio, and in-person modalities, but prefer walking in nature or discussing challenges while on a gravel ride or skinning up a local hill. Our network of coaches allows us to ensure a good relationship fit. Our principal, Alexander, has over 10,000 hours of leadership coaching experience across the corporate, academic, non-profit, and government/military worlds.

Breaking our day-to-day context and silencing distraction allows for new connections to be made, and fresh ideas to surface. Doing it outdoors - often close to a comfortable lodge or alpine cabin - lets nature slow our brains down and bring creativity to the fore.
Expeditions take it a step further - we move beyond our comfort zones to create truly inclusive, goal-oriented teams and move through true wilderness, discovering purpose and path along the way. We are licensed to guide and facilitate these experiences across New England, the United States, and around the world.
